About Me

AI Assistant Platform

Since February 2025, I have led backend and infrastructure delivery for an AI assistant platform running on AWS and Kubernetes. My hands-on work includes RAG, LiteLLM, DSPy, Python and FastAPI development, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and automated testing. I also screened more than 180 applicants and helped build the engineering team.

GMX, WEB.DE, mail.com and 1&1

Across several roles, I have contributed to the GMX Mail & Cloud, WEB.DE Mail & Cloud, mail.com, and 1&1 Mail applications. My work has included Android development, local full-text search, database and synchronization performance, tracking architecture, CI tooling, release management, and staged rollouts.

Earlier, I led the Android development team and temporarily the iOS team at 1&1. I also led a distributed, nine-person mobile messenger project. The applications were used on more than eight million mobile devices during my time there.

RTL+

I contributed to the RTL+ app for Android and Android TV in a large cross-functional team. I designed a unified media-download framework used across multiple app sections, improving consistency and maintainability.

zooplus

As an Android and AWS developer, I helped increase the zooplus app’s revenue share from 4% to more than 20% and improve its Play Store rating from approximately 3.4 to over 4.8.

I also built and operated AWS services handling more than two million requests per day using Lambda, API Gateway, Python, Flask, DynamoDB, and RDS.

Luca App

I helped stabilize the Luca App and its delivery process during the COVID-19 pandemic. I introduced continuous integration, automated Play Store uploads, and unit testing, and contributed to releases, features, and critical fixes. The app was used by more than 12 million people.
